Low pressure applications (300 psi and below). Most commonly, these valves are used as a burner valve in burner management systems.
This valve has a spring acting on the top side of motor diaphragm plate in addition to the signal gas under the diaphragm plate. The load on this spring can also be adjusted as necessary.
These products themselves do not vent, but the pneumatic signal used to actuate the valves is vented through the pilot. Due to the design, compressed air is not recommended as the actuation air. This is because if there is a failure of the stem packing, compressed air can be injected into the flow stream. To go emissions free with a pneumatic LPCV, it is recommended to use nitrogen gas a supply gas since it is chemically inert.
