Which Kimray Products Can Help Me Meet Emission Standards?
With regular service and repair, Kimray pneumatic control products—including valves, regulators, pilots, and level controllers—meet many producers’ emission standards.
Pneumatics that Support Emission Goals
A common misconception is that because a product is pneumatically actuated, it is constantly bleeding natural gas when gas is used as a supply source for actuation.
This is not the case with Kimray’s pneumatic regulators, pilots and level controllers. Kimray controllers do not bleed due to the inherent 3-way pilot plug design.
Rather, these products are classified as “intermittent vent”. This means that while they do vent gas, it is not constant but ONLY during normal actuation of the valve. How much gas is emitted during production depends on how often the valve is positioning.
This means with regular service and repair, Kimray pneumatic control products meet many producers' emission standards.

Electric Controls

We have several electric products, including a pilot, low pressure control valve, glycol pumps, actuators, level controllers & switches. Kimray’s easy-to-use electric solutions provide precise regulation and critical feedback from the field.
Non-Vent Regulators
Kimray offers non-vent back pressure regulators and non-vent pressure reducing regulators, which capture and re-route gases back into the production process. Like the venting versions, these non-venting valves use process natural gas to supply the diaphragm and actuate the valve.
If you have standard back pressure regulator, you can also convert them to non-vent with a simple kit.
Spring Loaded Regulators
Kimray's spring loaded back pressure regulator is a dependable, easy-to-operate, zero-emissions solution for holding back pressure on an oil and gas vessel.
These regulators can be used to flow liquid or gas, or both simultaneously. Other applications include heater treaters, central tank batteries, flash separators, and flares.
Lever Operated Dump Valves
Kimray's lever-operated liquid dump valve is a reliable, emissions-free product designed to dump liquid from oil and gas production vessels such as separators, heater treaters, and free water knockouts.
We offer piston balanced, piston balanced throttling, and diaphragm balanced models. These valves are used in conjunction with trunnion assemblies.
Weight Operated Dump Valves
The Kimray Weight Operated Dump Valve is a zero-emission throttling valve designed to hold liquid level in production vessels such as heater treaters, free water knockouts, and saltwater disposal systems.
This valve actuates based on hydrostatic pressure in production vessels.
Regulators with Outside Supply
Kimray's Regulators with Outside Supply are an easy-to-operate, environmentally-friendly solution for controlling pressure downstream of the valve and holding back pressure on an oil and gas vessel.
When compressed air is used as the supply, these regulators provide emissions-free operation.
