A common misconception is that because a product is pneumatically actuated, it is constantly bleeding natural gas when gas is used as a supply source for actuation.
This is not the case with Kimray’s pneumatic regulators, pilots and level controllers. Kimray controllers do not bleed due to the inherent 3-way pilot plug design.
Rather, these products are classified as “intermittent vent”. This means that while they do vent gas, it is not constant but ONLY during normal actuation of the valve. How much gas is emitted during production depends on how often the valve is positioning.
