High Pressure Cage Guided Balanced
Used as Dump Valve or Pressure Regulator. Our Cage Guided valves have larger trim sizes for larger valve coefficients (Cv) compared to the Stem Guided series. "Cage-guided" refers to the cage around the trim guiding the trim into its seat. "Balanced" means the pressure below the seat is communicated to the top of the seat so that the pressures are balanced, allowing for operation in high pressure differentials. All valves in this series have the option of emissions-free electric actuation.
High Pressure Stem Guided Non-Balanced
Used as Dump Valve or Pressure Regulator. Our Stem Guided valves have smaller trim sizes for smaller valve coefficients (Cv) compared to the Cage Guided series. "Stem-guided" refers to the stem itself guiding the trim into its seat. "Non-balanced" means that the pressure above the trim seat is not counterbalanced by the same pressure below. All valves in this series have the option of emissions-free electric actuation.

Low Pressure Balanced
Used as oil and water dump valve on low-pressure separators, emulsion treaters and other liquid accumulators or metering vessels. Upstream vs downstream pressure is balanced via communication of the process fluid above and below the balancing diaphragm or piston in order to eliminate opening/closing forces due to pressure differential. Designed for liquid systems, and available in either pressure-opening (normally closed) or pressure-closing (normally open) configurations.
