Yes, the CUAEXT has a float arm that is 3" longer.
They function the same, but CUB was designed to operate using much lower supply gas pressure, down to ounces.
The CUB also works much better in cold temperatures because it has no diaphragm, which otherwise could get stiff in extreme cold, limiting function.
The trade-off for these benefits is that the flow rate capacity is much lower. See flow rates in the technical specifications document.
