The custom 'Q' codes reduce the actuator force (200in-lb) during the setup mode of the Valvcon. This prevents the closing “point” from being located beyond the actual close position. This prevents the Valvcon from continually loading the R2L trying to reach the “point,” preventing fatigue failure. Once the valve is calibrated and switched out of setup mode, the power is not limited.
