This product notice is to inform you that we have reduced the length of the 7609 Shaft used in the 2" Lever Operated and Weight Operated Valves.
The purpose of this change is to reduce the torque applied to the shaft by the lever during regular operation, which will help increase the life of the shaft and the adjacent internal components.
This change, along with the recent release of the new adjustable stuffing box in Weight Operated Valves, has added significant value to these products.
The reduction in length is about 5/8". The 3"- 6" shaft lengths were not changed because they were already as short as they could be without having interference with the body from the weights.
