Fleet Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: The Fleet Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining Kimray fleet equipment through regular maintenance and service.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs scheduled maintenance of Kimray fleet equipment including
- Material Handling Equipment
- Construction Equipment
- Custodial & Maintenance Equipment
- Passenger Vehicles
- DOT-licensed Fleet
- Stationery Generation
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on electrical, gasoline, diesel, and LPG powered systems
- Completes assigned Repair Orders and documents results in Asset Management system
- Maintains database of work, time, parts, and results
- Maintains security and accountability for tools, equipment, and parts
- Maintains a clean work area
- Operates equipment safely
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
- Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4 years experience as a technician required
- Vocational education or additional trade training required
- Experience with three of these types of equipment preferred
- Must have demonstrated analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
- Must have proficient computer and technological skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Must have valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must have a desire to serve the organization
- Must be a motivated student of the equipment and the company

Education Requirement:
- Required High School Diploma or GED
Work Environment:
- Vehicle service/repair shop environment
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures for more than an hour possible
- Must be willing to maintain hours of duty to meet the needs of the department and available for counsel.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive use of hands
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and bending
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
