Kimray offers a wide variety of pilots and relays, each Designed to provide a service that customizes the operation of a valve to your needs. Often used with a Kimray control valve, the pilots work separately to send a signal, activating the valve or another pilot.
Commonly used to control an electric actuator on a control valve to allow for pressure regulation, the Electric Pilot can be used in any application where a 4-20mA valve actuator can be controlled by reading a 4-20mA sensor
These pilots are most commonly used in Kimray Pressure Regulator Packages. Pilot may be installed remotely from the control valve, sensing upstream or downstream. Pressure sensing ranges in this category span from ounces up to high pressure.
Differential Pressure Pilot
Pilot may be installed remotely from the control valve (aka motor valve) (see Control Valves shown in Sections E1 and E2 of the catalog). This pilot is used for maintaining a constant pressure drop across meter systems or to produce a pneumatic output signal when the differential pressure of a system falls below the set differential pressure. (see Control Valves shown in Section E of the catalog)
Special Pressure Pilot
These pilots are unique from the other Pressure Pilots in that they use gas from the sense line to operate the valve.
Liquid Differential Pressure Pilot
This Pilot sends a pneumatic signal when the differential pressure between two wet or dry pressures becomes less than the set point. The pneumatic signal vents when the difference is higher than the set point. Pilot may be installed remotely to operate a Control Valve as a Liquid Differential Pressure Regulator.
3 PG Throttle Pilot
Any system in which it is desired to multiply and volume boost a pneumatic signal to a large control valve (aka motor valve) or similar equipment. Amplification of the input pneumatic signal is approximately 4:1.
3 PGA Throttle Pilot
Any system in which it is necessary to volume boost a pneumatic signal to a large control valve (aka motor valve) or similar equipment. As a volume amplifier for controls with a small feed volume.
3 PGB Bistable Pilot
For any system in which two temporary pressure signals are available. One signal to turn ON the pilot, and one signal to turn OFF the pilot.
3 PGM Manual Reset Pilot
Any system in which a Three-Way control is to be monitored and system supply is to be vented if a preset limit is exceeded.
3 PGP Pressurestat
Direct firing of small steam generators by controlling flow of gas through the pilot to the burner. Approximate capacity of pilot is 360 SCFH with 15 psig supply pressure. Pressure control of larger steam generators by regulating flow of gas through a control valve (aka motor valve). Control valves are shown and described in Sections E-2 and E-3.
3 PGRA Throttle - Reverse Pilot
Any system in which it is desired to reverse and multiply a varying pneumatic signal
3 PM Mechanical Pilot
On oil and gas separators, water knockouts and similar equipment where motor valves are required. Where a pneumatic signal is desired from mechanical movements such as a float.
3 PMB Bistable Mechanical Pilot
This pilot sends an output signal based on the position of an in/out actuator, which, when pulled out sends a signal; when pushed in the signal is stopped.
3 PS Snap Pilot
Any system in which it is desired to change and reverse a varying pneumatic signal to an output signal of the same or higher pressure (up to 4:1).
30 PGMR Manual Relay Pilot
Manually sends a control signal to open or close a valve using a palm button. Supply is blocked and control signal bled to vent when released
30 PGR Relay
Any system in which a 0 to 300 psig signal must be switched using a 20 to 30 psig signal.
4 POR Priority Signal Relay
Shut-in relay, remote shut-in relay, signal priority sensor, automatic shut-down relay, signal interruption.
