As you know, 2021 has brought a steep and rapid increase in the demand for oil and gas production products. Alongside this, the lingering effects of the global pandemic have created supply chain challenges for businesses in all sectors.
As we continue to work through this scenario, we want you to know we are doing all we can to mitigate any disruptions this may cause you.
Steps we have taken include:
- Contracting with outside services to supply additional production capacity
- Hiring over 150 new team members in 2021 year to increase our production
- Negotiating stocking agreements with additional suppliers to improve responsiveness to increased demands
- Identifying and testing alternative suppliers for raw materials

This product notice is to inform you that, effective 8/13/21, we will be installing the 7407S6 trunnion hub instead of 7407 in all 3" lever operated and weight operated dump valves.
This is a material upgrade (cast steel to 316 stainless steel) and will have no negative impact on performance. Prices and shipping dates will not be affected.
This replacement is due to pandemic-related supply chain challenges. We currently plan to return to 7407 on 9/2/21.

This product notice is to inform you that we will temporarily be substituting Z-PEX-Coated Ductile Iron Cages for Delrin Cages.
Due to a supply shortage of Delrin, we will be temporarily assembling all new 2" and 3" Diaphragm-Balanced Lever-Operated Dump Valves and Diaphragm-Balanced Pneumatically Operated Dump Valves with ductile iron cages coated with Z-PEX* corrosion-resistant coating instead of the standard Delrin cages. (*This may be shown as “KC” on Kimray codes.)
3" Substitution

- Effective Date: 7/12/21
- First S/N Assembled: TBA
Piston Balanced and Piston Balanced Throttling valves will not be affected as they do not contain Delrin standard.
We anticipate no delays in shipments as a result of this change, and there will be no change in price for any of these products. The Z-PEX-coated cages should perform as good as or better than the Delrin cages. You can learn more about Z-PEX here.
Based on the current information from our suppliers, we estimate that we will be able to start using Delrin again in Q4 2021.
Each product with this substitution will be clearly marked on the box and product tag.

Supply chain challenges are currently surfacing in several industries due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic slowdown and recovery.
We too are anticipating supply chain delays. Our customer promise is to “anticipate customer needs and provide timely solutions that exceed your expectations.” In line with this promise, we are working to proactively mitigate any disruptions this may cause to you.
We have recently implemented a plan to substitute some product materials on a case-by-case basis, as long as it does not affect the advertised functionality of the product. In some instances, a superior material may be used at no additional cost to you. When these substitutions occur, we will be communicating with you through the methods outlined below.
- Our team will place phone calls to affected customers to communicate the change.
- We will clearly mark each affected box as well as the product tag with additional information about the material change.
- We will host a web page containing detailed information specific to each change.
- We will continue to update this blog with a full list of affected products.
