James D. Bennett is an energy executive and board member with more than 30 years of experience spanning public-company leadership, private equity, and investment banking. He served as President and CEO of SandRidge Energy from 2013 to 2018, following his role as Executive Vice President and CFO from 2011 to 2013. Earlier, he held senior roles at White Deer Energy and GSO Capital Partners and served as CFO of Aquilex Services Corp., after beginning his career in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and NationsBank.
Mr. Bennett currently serves as Chairman of IOG Resources and as a director of Kimray, Inc. and Caturus. Previous board experience includes Tellurian, Cheniere Energy Partners, SandRidge Energy, PostRock Energy. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Sunbeam Family Services. Mr. Bennett holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University and lives in Oklahoma City.
