Customer Support Specialist I

Job Summary: Responsible for managing customer orders and shipments, researching and resolving complaints and ensuring customer retention and satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains customer relationship with Kimray store through email, phone, or walk-ins.
  • Enters orders and responds to basic customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Provides quotes to customers.
  • Provides basic product selection assistance to customers.
  • Promotes Kimray products.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Maintains end of day filing system and emails.
  • Proactively reviews customer back orders and communicates updated availability to customers.
  • Participates in regular system and product training.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member.
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Seeks opportunities to add knowledge through the Kimray L&D group, peer group, and direct supervisors.
  • Completes assigned Level 1 Training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years prior sales experience
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have proficient computer knowledge
  • Capable of effectively communicating information to internal and external groups in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR
  • Must pass background check and drug screen

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Work Environment:

  • Office Environment
  • Warehouse/Repair Shop Environment as needed
  • PPE Required in Specific Areas

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive use of hands
  • Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 75 lbs.
