This product notice is to provide two critical pieces of information about Delrin Cages in our Liquid Dump Valves and Low Pressure Balanced Control Valves.
In some erosive conditions and in conditions where process fluid temperature is greater than 180° F, the Metal (or Ductile) Cage and Ratio Plug may be a more suitable material.
Delrin is standard in the 2” and 3” Diaphragm Balanced style valves, but Ductile is also an available option. Just add “DC” to the end of the code when ordering. For example: CBA with Ductile Cage and Ratio Plug would be CBADC.
The Delrin Cage was not designed to be used in the Piston Balanced Mechanical Dump Valves or Low Pressure Balanced Control Valves. Delrin comes standard in the 2” and 3” Diaphragm Balanced style of these valves, but not in the Piston Balanced style.
