This product notice is to inform you that we have made a small design change to the YDM Sense Line Protector, adding thru-holes where captive threads used to be.
Because the current holes are captive, they are prone to trapping air and prevent the zinc plating from fully coating the entire cavity. This creates rust issues in seasons of high humidity (typically summer time) and often requires lots of rework for our operations teams.
Changing to thru-holes eliminates the rust issue because it allows the zinc plating to fully coat the interior of the holes.
The change is effective immediately, and most inventory will reach stores in March 2023.
