A Segmented Ball Control Valve is a quarter-turn valve that provides control in high flow or severe service applications that require precise control.
Kimray is proud to offer the Sentinel Series segmented ball control valve, which is used in a wide variety of industries. This partnership allows us to provide an expanded array of control solutions for upstream and midstream oil and gas customers.
We offers standard ball valves, modulating ball valves, as well as quarter-turn control valves with large flow capacities.
Sentinel Series Features
The Sentinel Series segmented ball control valve features an integral body design, v-notch contouring, and metal or soft seat.
- The integral body design of the Sentinel Series limits the number of potential leak paths.
- The v-notch contouring in the ball along with the splined connection between the ball and shaft contribute to precise control in a wide variety of flow applications.
- The Sentinel Series comes with either a class IV metal seat or a class VI soft seat. A wave spring energizes these seats to maintain constant contact between the ball and seat.
When considering different types of valves, we recommend these rugged quarter-turn control valves for high volume flow applications where you need minimal pressure drop across the valve. They are also effective where dirty liquids, gases, or fibrous suspensions may exist.
