Job Summary: The Instructional Designer is responsible for implementing and leading the curriculum design solutions for the Training Department.  Utilizing blended learning solutions to deliver custom training projects for Kimray team members.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops instructional design plans for Kimray training programs - includes determining project goals, defining objectives, and content structure
  • Creates and establishes curriculum development standards that align with ATD Institute or other accepted standards
  • Develops materials using the ADDIE Model or other industry acceptable standard model
  • Develops sound Level 2 and 3 assessments for ILT and E-Learning courses
  • Designs and develops content that meets the needs of adult learners in a training environment
  • Manages the delivery of training programs
  • Works with SME’s in the design and development of training content
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health and Environmental Safety team member
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Must have excellent Instructional Design skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR
  • Must pass background check and drug screen

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field required
  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • Office environment
