Job Summary: Coordinates the movement of purchased materials from suppliers and addresses supplier issues while ensuring that all aspects of the procurement process are performed in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Obtains all relevant preliminary information to procure MRO parts, materials and equipment
  • Facilitates purchase of all Capital Expenditures
  • Initiates and analyzes quotations received; selects or recommends suppliers and schedules deliveries
  • Develops purchase orders and long-term purchase agreements and contracts with suppliers
  • Monitors short and long-term material requirement needs, develops and implements effective plans to ensure material availability
  • Sources and evaluates potential MRO suppliers; including building and fostering those relationships
  • Trains others within the company on proper use of ordering systems and policies
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years’ experience in related field
  • CIM or CPSM Designation Preferred
  • Working knowledge of supply chain concepts
  • Great customer service skills
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must have strong computer and technological skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR
  • Must pass background check and drug screen

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related discipline preferred
