Job Summary: The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for leading, supporting, and supervising the Packaging Department ensuring that production goals, quality, and safety objectives are met.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews, assigns, communicates and adjusts daily work strategy
  • Analyze and ensure packaging processes and standards are effective
  • Researches and recommends improvements to packaging efficiency
  • Works with Warehouse Manager to reduce cost and improve quality
  • Develop and maintain professional vendor relationships
  • Perform daily production board team meetings
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health and Environmental Safety team member
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in related field preferred
  • Ability to operate Scales, Computers, Hoists, Printers, Scissor lifts, Hand trucks, Wrap machines, Forklift, and Pallet Jack
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.
